The following core beliefs set the foundation for Street Smart Publishing and my work as a speaker, author, and professional branding coach.

Attitude

• Continual appreciation is essential
• Fully participate at every moment, in every situation
• Freedom is a tremendous privilege
• Negativity is toxic
• Celebrate often, even the small things
• Trust is a valuable gift you earn
• Karma (or Carmex as my son called it in 1st grade)

Challenging Times

• When the student is ready the teacher will appear
• Difficult times are when you grow the most
• Forgiveness does benefit the person who forgives

Work

• We have a responsibility to share our talents with the world
• Hire people who play at what is hard work for you (ex. web developer, organizer)
• Fun at work is an option

Home

• This is my favorite place on earth
• Treat your "sacred people" (i.e., spouse, children....) as if they are sacred to you
• A loving parent will prepare their child to successfully function in the world
• Reading is a level-playing field where anyone can succeed
